Tao is a multi cuisine fine dining restaurant on the madhya marg in the food hub i.e Sector 26 having it’s adjoining wall with The Lobby .
Tao happens to be a feather in the cap of the Swagath chain with a fine ambiance and the right choice of cuisines.
I have visited Tao thrice in last one month and each of these times I had dinner there the restaurant was packed which meant there is something about the restaurant that it had picked up so quickly.
I was quiet impressed on my first visit with their ambiance , food quality and hospitality which made me visit there again and again in this short span of time.
Would like to give my remarks on some of the dishes that I have tried up till now :
Sweet Corn & Asparagus Soup , Munchow Soup & Hot & Sour Soup - All are excellent.
Teppanyaki Vegetables - Absolutely up to the mark. One has to choose 8 exotic vegetables and a sauce of your choice out of the ones listed according to your palate.
Pad Thai Noodles - It seems the restaurant has’nt got the right recipee. But it is’nt bad at all.
Stir Fry Noodles - Just right.
Non - Veg Kebab Platter - Nothing special for the price Rs 525 - Very Spicy. The price , quantity , variety and the taste does not justify the offering.
Some mutton dish in maincourse - I dont remember the name - Extremely Spicy but nice. The mutton pieces were well done and well presented but we had water coming out of our eyes and mouth because of the inappropriate quantity of red chilli used.
Tandoori Roti - Size is a bit small.
Date roll with Ice Cream - Simple and nice.
There is yet a lot to try.
Service staff is very hospitable and you can definitely expect gr8 service.
On my next visit I am thinking of digging into some Iranian and Arabic food.
