I took one Tata AIG motor insurance policy. After paying premium for two years, one fine evening my car got stollen. It took three months for Tata AIG to the complete paper work. And after running from pillar to post one fine day they told me that my RC is in the name of old owner, therefore; I won’t get my claim. Now FOR WHAT DID THEY CHARGE PREMIUM FOR? Verbally they told me that they have sold me a policy for a car not owned by me. Is there anybody to take care of such impressive looking but bad service companies. IRDA is sleeping and deserve a wake-up call on such issues.
Now they are not even communicating with me on paper, why my claim is being denied. Being a media PR guy, I am planning to take them to consumer court and media.
All those victims of Tata AIG, I request to share their plight and stories with me so that I can warn other people via newspapers and tv channels.
