Poor Customer Service from TATA AIG

I renewed my car insurance policy (which was expiring in July 2010) on 6th june 2010 through IVR/credit card. I was promised that the documents would be couriered to me in a weeks time. However even after 3 weeks, the docs were not sent to me. I called up the customer service and was told each time that the documents would be sent in soft copy and through courier within next 48 hrs.


I never received the documents. I had to call customer service 7 times, each time was promised that they would be sent in time ranging from 48 hrs to 1 hr, but I never got the documents. Finally, when I did receive the documents, guess what, they had sent renewal documents of last year!!!. Even at this point of writing, I have not received the renewal documents. I wonder if this is the kind of service they provide just for sending renewal documents, what would be their service for claims settlement. My advise : Do not go with TATA AIG.
