I will narrate my experience with TATA AIG. I suggest when you use their services, you should think twice and not get drawn into their sweet and prompt responses. What is really important is the benefit we should get.
I insured my new car with them last year and being my first car had three Insurance claims. I never got a renewal notice from them. One fine morning I received a certificate from them addressed to ’’ whosoever concerned ’’ saying that I am not entitled to receive any no claim bonus. This I understood as I had three claims. 7 days back when I received a call from their office, I was told that a person will visit me and collect the money and a cover note will be issued.
I followed up this man for 7 days but realized that he is hesitating to keep his promise. When I talked to their Manager, he said he will talk to the Head Office and come back within a hour. Which off course he never did. I again called up and then realized that they have decided not to renew my policy. He kept on saying that they will off course renew it but there was some problems and they will have to load 100 % on the premium. When I asked him why did they not send me a renewal notice with this loaded premium ? He had no answer. The date has already now lapsed. He has promised to send it to me tomorrow. But I am sure it will not come.
In fact their profit would have begum with this premium. I think everyone should insure with the companies which has large customer base so that such situations will not arise.

We all know TATAs and we have so much respect for this Corporate. I think companies like these are keen to knock their reputation to dust.
