My vehicle broke down near Zuzuvadi checkpost , House Tamil Nadu at 10:20am Dec 23, 2023. Dialed to tata aig customer service. Asked for road side assistance. Was told to send vehicle location to a given WhatsApp number which I dily did. I asked for a rowing service to th service center. I did share on the mentioned WhatsApp number the service center to which the vehicle has to be towed. I was told they will activate the RSA (whatever that means) and will reach out to me. I waited an hour and no response. I finally on my one found a rowing service and engaged them. I called Tata AIG and then I told they need not "strain themselves for a rowing service for a valued customer like me". I was told I can claim a refund of 1800 for towing. How and what logic is applied for this rate is not explained and I was told to submit photo of the towing, the bill , photo of my passbook. I am not kidding a photo of my passbook. All on all the insurance company provides nothing and will do nothing. Next time I will go for the most cheapest insurance premium. Just hope that everyone you embark on a long trip ur vehicle does not break down and do get the vehicle checked up thoroughly. The insurance companies will never do anything or even bother to help. This applies to all insurance companies. Hope this helps. Go for the cheapest premium insurance do not get swayed by the lofty sounding bumper to bumper, RSA etc. It is all a scam.
