Friends, I was hoping to take TATA-AIG Maharaksha Accident Injury
Plan. First, I started checking their website - https://tataaiginsurance.in. I did not find much detail about the plan in their website so I decided to email them. I sent six emails to clarify but there was no reply. I wrote to their manager email provided in website - manager.customersupport@tata-aig.com. He has a standard reply - ’
We will respond to your queries today itself. I regret the inconvenience caused to you.’
Both times he replied the same way and there was no reply from his team explaining the details.
Then, I called their customer care to check the details. The lady I spoke to did not know much details. The biggest thing is customer service lady don’t listen properly at all. Most of the time she told I don’t know I will pass this information to the concerned department. OR I will ask them to call back. TATA-AIG has outsourced everything to third party. Looks like different companies/third parties taking care of different departments. You will understand once you call them.
They mentioned ’Double Claim benefit: You can claim benefits even if you have another policy.’ in their website but when you call customer service they have a different story altogether. I asked the lady about what happens I have another policy from other company and I claimed from them using original medical reports, bills etc. How should I claim in TATA-AIG in that case because you mentioned Double Claim benefit in Maharaksha policy. The lady told me that I cannot claim with photocopies I have to submit originals. I asked about more details about Double Claim benefit she said that I need to speak to claim settlement division for exact details and also informed me such kind of benefit does not exist in this policy. What a fuss!! She don’t even know this is mentioned in their website.
Generally, people does not observe or understand the exact nature of such ’benefits’.
Would you say ’benefits’ after reading this?
I wonder how they are CHEATING all the Indians. This is the situation just before taking a policy. I was just looking for exact details. Imagine the situation you will face when you claim your amount after taking the policy.
Friends, pls don’t even think of taking any kind of Insurance from TATA-AIG. They are a BIG Cheat!
Also, pls write a letter or send email to IRDA ombudsman. I have done that. The more we do its better for us. Otherwise, this CHEATERS will not learn.
TATA-AIG, better watch this out space and all the feedback if you want to survive.
