I recently booked my daughter’s international travel ticket from Mumbai to Lyon, France through Make My Trip and purchased Tata AIG Travel insurance. However, to my surprise, the policy document contained errors in my daughter’s date of birth and passport number. Despite my request, Tata AIG refused to correct the mistakes, citing their terms and conditions.
As a traveler, I rely on accurate documentation, especially when it comes to sensitive information like travel insurance. The Schengen visa process requires a valid travel insurance policy, and my daughter now faced with the possibility of delays or rejection due to no fault of ours.
I hold Make My Trip and Tata AIG equally responsible for this blunder. It’s unacceptable that they failed to verify my personal details, and their refusal to correct the errors is even more disappointing. As a customer, I expect a higher level of service and attention to detail from both companies.
Until they resolve this issue and take steps to prevent such mistakes in the future, I cannot recommend Tata AIG Travel insurance or Make My Trip to anyone. Buyers beware!
