My Tata Aria Prestige Plum Leather (Pearl White) 4x4. Ok so finally the day arrived when I got the time to write the review for my New Tata Aria Prestige Leather 4x4 (Pearl White) Sept 2011 Make. Bought it on Jan 2012. Since taking the delivery I was waiting for the right time to right my review. So here we go in details:-
- On Road Cost - This was the deciding factor why I bought it. Billed Invoice (On Road) Cost in HYD for Me INR 11.50 Lacs. Yes!!! you cd it right it got a whooping discount of near 6.63 Lacs. Here is the break-up for:-
1.1 Exchanged my Old Wagon R DUO Lxi (55K driven) - INR 2.5 Lacs
1.2 Exchange Bonus INR 50K
1.3 Discount 2.83 Lacs Year End Offer. This includes the standard discount of 2 Lacs
which I believe everybody knows TATA came up at year end + Corp. Discount of 20K
- 30K Dealer Discount + additional 33 K I got discount - fought with the dealer to get this and they got it for me from TATA. Yes!!! so the actual discount for me from TATA was near 2.35 lac.
1.4 Rest Near 1 Lac - I got discount on the Tax Part (14%) Road Cost - this I
believe very few people only got. Even I was surprised when I got this. Baschandru021y
My Dealer Invoiced the XShowroom cost less so relatively the road tax and other
stuff reduced. And to add I took the Insurance from Outside as I had a good
contact.
From Jan till today total distance covered - 7400 KMS. city AVG is 12 Km/Lt. with AC
Did Hyd-Bangl-Palani-Madurai-Tiruchendur-Kanyakumari-Trivandrum-Tanjore-Trichy-Bangl-HYD
during March last week. Total 3627 Km. distance covered in 10 Days. Total Avg. fuel
economy was 12.5 Km/Lt. with Full AC with 6 Adult & 1 Child + Full Luggage (4 Suitcase +
Other stuff) - On Roof carrier & Back. Let me clear that this Avg. achieved just after the
1st Service was over and the vehicle was being driven on Avg. 110-120 Km/hr. Top Speed
Touched 180 Km/Hr on NH7. Awesome Road and vehicle is Rock Stable.
- Nobody felt the tiredness througout these times. 1 customtakeoutization what Ive done is - ive
got a mattress for my CAR. YES!!! you heard it right. After folding 2nd & 3rd row seat - 3
Adults can sleep with full leg stretched. What a Comfort Ha ha ha... My VOLVO Sleeper.
Personally I liked it.
After returning last week only I finished off my 2nd Service and Im eagerly waiting for my next looong trip.
Let me tell you very true that till now I havent faced a single problem with this car and also @ the Service Center.
I was initially targetting for Innova. But this Discount & VFM pulled me to buy this and I have no regret on buying this masterpiece.
Only suggestion for TATA - if they would have given it Captain Seats in Middle it would have been more luxury. But yes doing this I fear would have lost the facility to Setup FLAT Bed which Ive made now, which is very useful for Family specially on Long drives and that too if you go for Night Drive. I usually prefer Night Drives so its the best my family can have.
Tata could add more power to it. somewhere close to 160 BHP. but yes making that would reduce the fuel Avg. Also an Auto Transmission taken straight from JLR would be awesome to have here...
The Fuel Tank capacity could have been given bigger. i.e. 90 Lts-100 Lts. as theres scope for providing this tank as the Vehicle is too huge to accomodate this tank. this would have really rocked then!!!
Only issue what I feel with this car is - Its not for daily City Usage specially for Hyd Traffic. But on Highway its the BOSS!!! This car is really Huge for City Use. Though Im not talking from Handling prRajeev_Vermactive, but rather the space it needs to go. Its a TRUCK I would say :)
Steering Control is really commanding and you wouldnt feel like youre driving such a huge vehicle and that too if it goes in 4x4 Huh!!! what a control!!!
The Car is having the Projector though the bulb is normal. they could have given HID Bulbs in it. Im planning to upgrade the Bulbs next.
Seat should have been provided with Electrical Adjustments.
Rack & Reach should have been the type of the Steering.
1 Big issue with this High End Model what I found is - the roof is having too no. of boxes. Now Im wondering on how to install Roof Mounted LCD. Even I checked at various aftermarkets shops (real big dealers in HYD, Chennai & Trivandrum) and even they have no clue on this and they assured me that dont worry it would be launched soon :) :) Genious are already working on it. :) :)
