Generally I have read all bad reviews for Tata Credit Cards. Even I am not completely satisfied with the services. I had an issue for the limit of the card issued. I intended to buy a laptop from Croma for about 50000. But I had a limit of only 38000. I in fact deposited about 14000 more so that I could swipe upto 50000, although I had much larger limits on my other cards. I wanted to use the TATA card due to the points, as well as a cashback offer during the period.
I mailed, probably everyone in Tata CARDS and SBI to even assign me a temporary additional limit for even 1 day. I however got no response. So I decided to contact TATA Capital with my issue. I was pleasantly surprised when I was contacted immediately by Ms. Nergish Variyava who is the customer service executive. I must admit she tried her level best to help me, even speaking to the bank AVP on my behalf. Despite her best efforts the matter was not resolved due to some technical considerations like getting the necessary approvals at short notice. I wonder if things would have moved faster if TATA had a tie up with some different private sector bank instead of SBI. I would still thank Ms. Nergish who made her best efforts and communicated me throughout the day. I commend her efforts as she did everything within her limits. A reason I will still stick with TATA cards.
