I have used credit cards from different banks and from experience, this is the worst card you can ever get.
There are numerous reasons why I hate it.
I was made to apply for this, saying that it is SBI card. When I got it, it was not SBI, it was some stupid TATA card(!)
The customer care guys call you up whenever you make a transaction greater than Rs 5000/- to get it converted to EMI. Eventhough you say no, they do not have the sense to hang up the phone
Once I have paid more amount than the bill amount(as I was not sure how much was billed) and I got screwed up high time. I was under the impression that the extra money that I paid would get adjusted in the next month bill. But ALAS! it doesnt work that was for these ppl.
As I had an EMI of around 2.5K, which was the only thing billed that month, my minimum amount to be paid became 2.5k and the total amount due became(2.5K- prev month excess). I made a call to these guys and asked to adjust it and I paid the total amount due(which was incidently less than the minimum amount due!). There staretd all the trouble. Every morning they would call up and say I ahve not paid the minimum amount.
These guys who called could not even speak in proper English or Hindi. In spite of me making efforts to tell them that this is the case and I have raised a request to revert it, they kept on calling me everyday. And on top of all this, they charged me the late payement fee too.
I was totally irritated with all this and somehow, after making numerous phone calls, someone agreed to revert everything and I have paid off whatever was remaining.
Now I no longer use the card and literally, I live in peace.
So if anyone is planning to apply for this card, my recommendation is, go for some other card. Any other card is better than this.
If any one is holding the card, I would recommend not to use it and get rid of it ASAP; why do you want to spoil your mood by dealing with them.
