For me, the newly launched Tata Coffee Grand Coffee is a big No.
I do not know much about coffee brands and the varieties. But now I can say that for me, Nescafe coffee was good. Bru Gold Coffee was excellent and Tata Coffee Grand is a big no no.
I had to buy Tata Coffee when bigbasket.com went out of stock for Bru Gold Coffee.
There was a time when I had tried Bru Gold Coffee for the first time and I had immediately liked it. Since then, I became a regular coffee drinker.
So, this time, when bigbasket didn’t have Bru Gold Coffee, I thought of trying Tata Coffee for the first time. I thought, may be I would like it even more. Even though I don’t like its TV ad. What kind of advertisement they have made? And the price of Tata Coffee Grand is higher than Bru Gold Coffee. 50 g pouch of Tata coffee is for Rs. 115 while that of Bru Gold Coffee is Rs. 97/-.
But taste wise, I find Bru Gold much better. Tata Coffee Grand says it is has agglomerated coffee powder & freeze dried coffee. It has some kind of chicory mixture. It promises a superior taste & a rich aroma. But I don’t find its taste any superior. I just checked Bru Gold packing. It says’no chicory’. So, may be that is why I find the two coffees so different from each other.
If I put lesser Tata Coffee in my cup, then there is no taste. But if I put a little more of this coffee, then it looks more black and tastes bitter. I am trying to like it. But I can’t help but keep comparing it with Bru Gold.
Now, I am just waiting to finish Tata Coffee, so that I can go back to my previous favourite brand. This is my personal choice in coffee. Others may like Tata coffee. But I will suggest them to try Bru Gold first.:)
