It is absolutely true that TCS is spoiling TATA’s brand name. Yes, it is! I joined as a fresher in 2009 December. After initial training, I was sent to a support project in Bangalore on a technology on which I was not trained. There the mess all started.
My team lead is a Tamilian and he harassed me to the maximum. He gave a man handling threaten to me for no reason even though I was working good. My self being a calm guy thought everything would be fine if I still perform better equivalent to experienced fellows. Taking my decency as advantage he further harassed me for not consuming alcohol in team parties for not buttering him still I kept calm and continued doing my work. There was a certification training in mumbai and he nominated a tamil guy who always spends time on facebook and espnstar.com even then I started working with my own efforts after one year when time has come to give onsite to me. He favored regionally and gave the onsite to that same tamil guy and started harassing me again for coming late or for other reasons.
The top management supports him and he can do whatever he wants my TL- a tamilian comes to office totally drunk! He was joined by 2 more tamilians recently. After all this I am praying god to move me out of this company. The sooner I get an offer from other company, I will leave TCS! My suggestion to freshers is join it for starting your career with a branded company but don’t loose your heart when the project management gives least rating don’t get discouraged when you are not appreciated for your work, don’t get discouraged when your career is spoiling due to regional bias. Try hard to move to other company after working for 2-3 years. One day or the other we will be noticed for our work in other company!
