Well I worked in TCS, especially Kolkata d worst. After working hard I got 2 in both the ratings and when I asked my Pl he said that manager had told bcz of curve fitting I had to get a 2 and there were no reasons quoted.And when I requested for a discussion the manager was absent for days reqd for change of rating.
And then after the time period of discussion is over, he tells that I am so good but she has nothing to do....
And I was feeling okay it was done and my manager empathized , before I could realize that I got a performance improvement plan sheet from my current manager which tells me that if I dont perform I can be excelled.
It was such a shock as I had made technology change as to get project in that technology is difficult in kolkata, and then my manager’s senior told me that he can get me a role of a a manager in a project(I went to him to ask for a project).
I was taken aback as a resource of 2 consecutive rating of 2 and a PI sheet , how can he tell me to be a manager.Such sick ppl.
Please gals especially gals never join TCS Kolkata , as u cant oil a PL or Manager by going ith him to tea or to smoke cigarette , and also u cant endlessly stay till late nights...so at the time of rating u would be said that the maanger had no other option rather to give u a low rating...

Notorious managers dont knwo anything rules .
Escalation is common thing... a guy named Dey was an expert in escalation and he always explained things verbally and he used to misguide and hi team members would do the job accordingly.But during the final delivery he would say that the delivery is totally wrong.tHIS THING has happened quite a few time and on complaining to the mamnager and senior manager had not been taken care of and Mr. Dey was very much with total respect promoted and even given best of the assignments.This behavior has resulted in anarchy , mistrust, decreased d morale and give a disgusting picture of TCS infront of d world.
Its better to work WITH less competent technology exPert or onsite co-ordinator but a deceitful cheat is beyond the values of our education.
TCS, Kolkata shakes the basic foundation of knowledge.
