I purchased a TATA Docomo 3G connection in November 2013, with an upfront subscription for six months. It was astonishing to discover that the signal strength was only 14 Kbps as against the guaranteed 7 Mbps. It never worked. Made 7 complaints so far. After two complaints their Network engg came home and found out my connection is hooking onto a 2G network and 3G tower is far away.
I stay in Brooke fields, the heart of IT-Hub in Bangalore and never imagined it could be like this. Then later the Engg told me the upgrading of tower near my home is planned in the next 20 days. 60 days passed nothing happened.
All complaints since 15 January 2014 (5 times) are being closed by call center staff stating the complaint exceeded the time limit to close. Fed up I called up and cancelled the connection. And now I keep getting reminder SMSs daily asking to pay monthly subscription though it is cancelled with confirmation in Feb 2014 end. It is pathetic that in India we are ending up purchasing headaches even from brands like TATA.
