I gave a request for a Mobile Number Portability for shifting my Vodafone prepaid connection to a postpaid Tata Docomo connection. When the executive called he impressed me by saying that I wont have to go anywhere in fact their customer representative would come down to my residence and collect the documents. I repeatedly requested him to send me a micro-sim. He assured me that the same would be dispatched. When the executive arrives - Surprise he has bought a normal sim. He talks to his senior and the senior assures me that he will dispatch the micro sim before the connection goes active.
After this, I received no information regarding the porting. I kept calling the executive who assured me of a micro-sim he kept telling me give me one hour and also gave me absurd reasons such as my present connection is postpaid and I have bills due etc. On last Saturday when I called him he assured me that it would be solved by Monday latest and when I asked about the micro-sim. He said its not possible as micro-sims do not activate automatically(first time I am hearing this), he urged me to get another phone and use my sim(Now, they want to dictate what handset I use too). Today is Tuesday and still no solution provided my old number is still active and whenever I call the executive he tells me to wait for 10 minutes and he will call back, but I am still yet to receive a call. In fact he has been saying this for days now.
Finally, I decided to cancel my request regarding the portability. I really thank Docomo for saving me from such a horrible decision that I was about to take.
If pre-sales service is such, you can imagine how bad post-sales services would be!
