Unwanted service activations, bad Customer Service

I hold a TATA docomo connection for the past 2.5 years. I had no complaints in the first two years. Their network was good and there was no automatic unwanted service activations and I hardly called the customer care for any issues or queries.


But, in the last 6 months, they are trying to suck your money by automatically activating unwanted services and deducting Rs.30 or more. Calling the customer care to report this and to get the money reversed leads to a bad experience as they are genuinely not interested in solving the issue and say they can’t return the deducted amount. Unwanted activations happened thrice to me. Funny thing with customer care is I chose English as language and it took me to a guy in the Hindi department.


All the good things they say in their ADs are not true

  • Unwanted activations happen and worst no reversal.

  • Calling customer care number doesn’t take you directly to the representative. You still have to go to through automated voice.

I am considering switching to a alternate provider.
