Its been too long since, I wrote a review, as I didn’t find any product Innovative. All the other launches in the industry are like "**Follow the Crowd.**"
The first reason I choose, Tata Docomo is because its billing is Second pulse.
I took a Prepaid conection in Hyderabad, few weeks back.
First I like to mention this services advantages:
*1) Seconds Billing: **Ever since I took a mobile phone~8 years back, I have been wondering why should we pay for the Incoming calls! & why should we pay for a Minute, when we talk in Seconds!
How will you feel, If you buy 200grams of grocery Items & Made to pay for 1Kg?
Its been happening in the telephone Industry since a very long time, & nobody is Questioning because, it was "**The Industry Standard"!
Finally the answer came, charging for incoming calls were removed & its time to stop charging for the unused time.
2) 60Paise/Minute(Across India!):
*Most networks are charging @ 1Rupee/minute for Local call &~1-1.50Rs./Minute for STD; depending on the service provider & the package.
An extra amount for some packages & for prepaid users bonus cards is to be brought for 40-60Ps/Min charges.
Now, here comes Tata Docomo, only 1Paise/1Second= only 60Ps/Minute. Across India its same price as an introductory offer, has to see how long will this offer remains!
Otherwise its 2ps/Sec for STD.
ISD is also charged in seconds for just 11p/sec for US/Canada.
*Network, Signal strength**: But the **Only Drawback with Docomo **is, the Network is not that strong(in few Areas in Hyderabad) as Vodafone, Idea etc.But its almost OK, I’m hoping it will improve in the near future.
When I took Hutch connection, during its launch the situation was same now it became a strong player. Same will be the case for Docomo.
There is a Missed Call Alert(MCA) free service, if signal drops or if u switch off the phone, u will get te MCA, when u switch on again.
Some SMS offers are also there, if u send 3 SMS each costs 60ps, you will get the next 250 Local SMS on that day FREE.
I don’t know about Postpaid plans & didn’t find any exclusive outlets yet, but the prepaid offers are very good & it became almost impossible for me to get a Starter pack during the lauch period, as most the dealers had No Stocks.
Theres a Demand-Supply Imbalance, to my knowledge **Docomo connections are selling like hot cakes**. Starter pack costs only Rs. 49 for lifetime.
So hurry, Grab ur number before its too late. **Don’t follow the Crowd, DO THE NEW.*
