Tata Docomo sucks!

I availed this service in September 2009. That itself was a painful process. My SIM took over seven days to activate! I let it go because the tariffs were lowest.


I suffered from weak signals at quite a few places but given that they were a new player I decided to give them a leeway.


However, my real problem is their customtakeouter service. I filed a complaint to them on 29-Apr-2011 regarding my internet connection which never gave me any problems before. My complaint number 262825395 stands unresolved to date. Here’s what pissed me off:


I apprised the operator over inconsistent data connection and I was told that my complaint would be resolved by 5-May-2011. Though I did receive a call back from the company’s technical department it did not help me. It seemed they were unable to understand what my real problem was. I told them in simple English - my connection works at times and sometimes it does not, it just goes off. I was assured that my issue would be resolved ASAP but they failed to give me any specifics.


I called the operator every day to inquire about the status on my complaint. "Your complaint is in open status, sir. I can’t provide you any details as of now", would be the standard response of all the customtakeouter care executives I spoke to. I also requested a call back from some senior authority, who would be adept at handling such issues, every time I called them and I am still waiting for a call!(Today is 25-May-2011 and it is going to be about a month since I filed this complaint.). I even wrote to them but in vain! Same IVR-like response:


"We are in receipt of your email dated 19-May-2011; as regards your concern over network issue for TATA DOCOMO number 9036XXXXXX.


We regret the inconvenience caused to you.


Please be informed that the complaint bearing docket number 262825395 is under process. Concerned department is working on it and will get in touch with you shortly.


For further clarifications call us at 121 from TATA DOCOMO number. You can also write to us at listen@tatadocomo.com.


Assuring you of our best services at all times."


Well, I can tell from my experience the last statement is FALSE!


In one of my calls a customtakeouter care executive tried to act so smart he told me that my Samsung Galaxy Ace GT-S5830(which is a 3.5G phone), does not support Internet! Well, I guess this is the only kind of people the company can employ when they have the lowest tariffs!


It appears that the company has no interest in solving a customtakeouter’s issue and that they have become very arrogant after their initial quick success in the market!


I would sincerely request everyone reading this review not to opt for Tata Docomo for lower tariffs are no substitute for an excellent customtakeouter service experience.
