I’ve been using a Tata Docomo sim card for 7 years now. Few years back, they had launched their 3G service which was really good. The speeds would go to as high as 10mbps.
However, the lack of 3G service(for years now) is quite disappointing. I’m talking about the Mumbai region. I’m aware that many parts of the India do have the Docomo 3G.
However not Mumbai circle. I’m pretty satisfied with the coverage in the area but this will always be my biggest complaint.
Also, several areas in the North zone have minimum to no connectivity for Docomo, that’s very sad too. However, I’ve never faced a call drop in my circle as well as southern India. Which is okay for me. But not for others who travel a lot.
Docomo is a reliable brand with it’s Tata tag. It’s is relatively better priced than all mobile operators. But lack of services might cost their valuable customers like me. I’m now forced to port my number to Idea and Vodafone although I’m not very fond of their services.
