A disgrace to the name of TATA

I have a Tata Docomo Photon 3G data card. The connectivity is extremely poor and intermittent. It takes over 6 attempts to get to someone on their helpline to tell them about the problem. Even after getting to speak to someone, they generally insist that I speak in Hindi.


Though being a south Indian I speak the language quite well, but the point is that it is unfair to insist to speak in Hindi. If that is the official policy then they should  not offer their services in South India where many people do not speak Hindi.


The people answering the helpline do not give out their names clearly even after asking for it repeatedly. The people on the helpline are absolutely untrained to handle any technical problems and they just keep you on hold for up to 5 minutes for every query.


Finally I had to insist on raising a complaint and asked him for the complaint number. Even this he took some time to give out and said that a member of their technical team would get in touch with me.


Finally a technician got in touch with me and he stated that as I live in a high demand zone and that there are a lot of people using this service, that is why the speed is slow. When I told him that the speed was absurdly low at an average of 25 to 50 kbps, he  said that nothing can be done about it and that I should bear with it.


This reply by the disgrace who calls himself a technician is totally unacceptable and amounts to unfair business practice. I then get a message that my complaint is resolved. How could it have been resolved without taking my feedback?


If Tata Docomo cannot provide the speed as advertised by them then they should withdraw the service and stop cheating customers. They are an absolute disgrace to the name of TATA, a brand that many people swear by.
