I have recently taken a Tata Docomo Photon 3g Wifi dongle stick. The advertisements for this dongle claims speeds upto 21.1 MBps and I was really excited to see this. I went online and checked it availability at my pin code and it told me I would get high speeds upto 21.1 MBps.
I ordered online and soon I received phone calls promising me the same when I asked if I could really get such high speeds. The process in getting a connection was really smooth and the connection was activated in 4 working days. Frankly, I am happy with the service provided but I feel cheated that I have been told that speeds upto 21.1 MBps are to be got.
I have checked my speed a couple of times using http://www.speedtest.net and till date it has never exceed 3.7 MBPs which I got late at night. I lodged a complaint and it was instantly handled when a service technician came to my home and ran a youtube video. He said, "Sir, there is no buffering.
Whats the problem?" I told him that I was promised max speeds up to 21.1 MBPS and not an average speed of 2MBPs. He just smiled. He connected me to the customer care who said they will take up the issue.
I am against this false advertising being done by Tata Docomo!!!! If you dont ever plan to giving your customers even 50% of the max speed claimed, why even claim then???
