As others have given the history and details of Tata, I will not waste time on those again. I will recomemd anything that has a tata label. this is becos of me working for a tata company and I have seen from the inside. sorry that this might be like I am boasting but we are very hardworking, sincere and dedicated. we are like this becos our seniors are like that and our seniors are like that becos the owners are like that.
take in any field, tata has top 3 ranking ( otherwise it has come out of that service) . telco, tisco, tcs, tata salt, lakme (estwhile a tata company), voltas, vsnl, westside, taj hotels , air india ... list is very big.
