Now a days when someone wants to buy a car he will first check the fuel efficiency.The fuel prices are going up day by day and no one knows where it will reach in matter of 5-6 years.Indica V2 is one option that we can make.I brought the the Indica V2 on 2001. I wanted a car which is small, so that it is easy to handle in our sorts of driving conditions and also it should be fuel efficient. So I went through a lot of lists and finally I decided that it should be Indica V2.When I first saw it, I thought that it will not fit my family but when I get into it ’’wow’’ it was really amazing. Such a small car have this much space it is very hard to believe. Unlike other car of its class Indica V2 provide more space. The rear seats can be folded which provides more luggage space. Another special characteristics is its comfort.The car is ideally suited for long trips. Many cars show discomfort after driving it for say 5-6 hours. But indica provides u the better comfort. It also provide enough foot space so as to make the driving more and more comfortable.I have used it for 20-25 long trips and I have never felt any sort of discomfort.AC is strong enough which will provide instant cooling.we can also increase the fan speed which is very useful in hot condition.
Indica comes with 5 gears for froward and one reverse. It will attain speed of around 55-60 in 8-9 sec.Once u hit the 100 barrier then it is like flying.I have not drove that much speed but my brother drove it around 120kmph. It was really good. If we look outside then we cannot even clearly see the trees.. WE can only see something is moving.Even at that speed it is very easy to handle it.However the power of the engine is not that much good in hilly areas.IF we are using AC then we have to off it. This is one of the drawback of indica V2 diesel... But heard that Petrol comes with more power. The car is ideally suited for city ride also. Because of the comfort it provides we will not feel much problem in our roads.Inside the car we can hear only less noise, but ouside is little bit more noisy
Fuel efficiency:- indica gives u about 10-13 kmpl in city with AC. If we are ready to go without AC then it will touch around 14 kmpl.In city a mileage of 10 -13 is a very good..When Going for long trips it will give around 15-16 kmpl. It also depends on the driving and the type of road we are going through.Cooling is also a important factor for the overall efficiency of the car. Like other cars it uses coolant, which is very good in its service, keeps the car cool for really long time. It is needed to check the coolant level only during the service period unless there is some leakage.Wide front glass is another feature of indica. It provides better vision.
There was two occasion, once the alternator got damaged and the cost was around RS 900/- I heard from the service man that it was a small thing and it costs this much. I Had to replace the tail lamp set once and it costs nearly RS 1000/-. I Thought that its price was little on the higher side. Besides this the car had no problem at all. Usual service is enough to keep the car in good condition.
IF u are looking for a car that will give better mileage and comfort then sure it is a good option to go for indica V2.It is very easy to keep the car in good condition, all u have to do make sure the services are done correctly and between services check the batteries, tyre pressure, Engine temperature, oil levels etc at regular intervals.Indica may be small but the features provided by it is Big.
