All of my earlier driving experience was confined only to petrol cars, and my opinion on diesel cars was that they were noisy, rattling and smoky. A drive out of Chennai on a friends V2 changed my mind completely. 3 weeks later, I became a proud owner of an Indica V2 DLS.
The car is very stable on highway speeds and consumes very less fuel. Its spacious interiors can easily accommodate 3 adults in the rear, when you would be squeezing that many people in other small cars. Noise is negligible, considering youre driving a diesel car. The air-conditioning and suspensions have no match.
There are a few minor glitches like - squeaks, low quality of upholstery/plastic, few leaks. But overall, the advantages outnumber the shortcomings.
Tatas R&D has really taken tremendous trouble in overcoming the major faults that were synonymous with their passenger cars. This car is definitely the best in its class and worth the money you invest.
Anyone looking for a comfortable, stable, fuel efficient, diesel car - Tata Indica V2 is the one for you!!!
