I bought Indica V2 (Diesel) in April 2005. I am currently getting about 15 km/l in City (Mumbai) and about 20 on highway (Without AC)... I am not sure this is normal coz I read the reviews saying it gives about 15 km/l in City with AC on.
In last 9 months I never faced any problems except for some noise from the engine which seems to be quality of Diesel engines. But oflate, I have noticed that the engine does not start when it is hot. If in Mumbai traffic it stops in the middle of the road and does not start for quite some time then it is really irritating.. I am not sure this is a problem of my car or Indica as a whole. But even my friend complains about the same. Would like to request other readers or Indica owners to advice me on this problem..
Another problem is that it is difficult to climb step mountains if your AC is ON. Even the pick up quite less compared to other cars on the road... So the engine lacks power if you are quite frequent traveller in mountain regions.
Except above the car is quite nice for today’s conditions.. Low running cost, more space, good looks and decent average...
