TATAMOTORS #1 CONTINUED

Below are my observations in review number 2 after 1000 Kms in DLX Turbo.

(1)Mileage- 14Km/Litre in Bangalore city.

(2)New car had three issues (a) Fuel gauge used to work twice in a day only.

Actions taken:First the connections were checked, then fault was found

in the intstrument cluster.Cluster arrived in 3

days.Cluster replaced on warranty.I am happy now.

(b) LHS front power window used either get stuck or fdance it’s way up

in a diagonal manner.

Actions taken:Dealer workshop rectified twice, but reccuring probelm

made them change the glass machine itself.I am happy

now."Touch Wood."

(c)There are handles for the passengers to hold on the roof sides. There

isn’t one at the drivers side. The holes for the handles were left

open, wtihout the plastic caps.

Actions taken:On pointing out, they first said that in a couple of days the

caps should arrive and we’ll fix up, but then suddenly they

found stock and plugged the holes.I am happy.

(3)The pick-up is excellent.Turbo comes to play by 2000 rpm.In the 5th gear at 85 Km/hr, egine is as smooth as butter.

(4)Honestly speaking, I am more concerned on the engine performance rather than the above minor issues that are covered under warranty.

(5)Please add Iftex diesel additive during the running in miles for sure and continue if you wish to do so.

(6)Another minor issue is of the speakers provided by the company. There is a mild cracking noise for the "bass" intensive music.I am a bit sensitive on this, but others may not bother at all for this.Anyway, I intend to have better speakers in the near future, so no issues.

(7)The roof top of my car had a fine scratch which has been touched up before delivery.

(8)Space within is royal. It can be compared to a Ford Ikon.I am not exaggerating.Lavish boot space.

(9) I love to see the instrument cluster and the power window switches glowing in the night along with the feel of the leather steering wheel and gear cover. It is classy for INR 4.71 lakhs paid.

(10)The leather steering wheel cover, gear cover and the beautiful digital odometer and instrument cluster, with light intensity control makes it look classy.
