Hi,
I bought a indica turbo DLG by November 2005 and till now a satisfied owner.
I am not very proficient in car mechanisms and learnt car driving very recently. But from the begining I like indica and was keen to buy one. I like it because of space, being economical(by diesel) and looks(yes, many disagree on this, but I like its look). People used to discourage by saying it has a dead slow pick up. But when I came to know about the Turbo version I felt very happy and bought it fianlly.
I am very happy with the Turbo version and it really performs well. In 9 months of usage I went to the dealer only for thr free service and I didnt have any other problem.
Regarding the speciality of the turbo version, i drove some normal Indicas also and realised that Turbo version really shows a difference in performance. The pick up gets zooming once it crosses 2000RPM and if on a long journey it flies.
Space-wise, it does not have many competition in its class. Ample room space in the front row and rear row makes it a comfortable car.
Economy is the star factor. It gives me 18kmpl on city roads and if going on a tour on highways it easily crossses 22 with AC.
Being a heavy car, its safer also than ultra light zen/alto.
One complaint many petrol car owners say is the sound of the diesel engine. I cant deny it, yes that is a tradeoff, but I dont think that as a big disadvantage. All diesel cars have it and even hi-fi cars like scorpio, safari, innova(diesel) cant control it much. If u switch on the AC and music system inside, it sounds the same like a petrol car. I mean, its not a reason to avoid this wonderful car.
Overall its a very good car, I would say.
Thanks,
Raja
