There goes mine...

Last time I commented on others review as I did not had any experience of this car though my dad’s gonna get one soon. Now im going in wit review as my dad finally let me test drive this car as we ve almost finalised it.                  Now starting off wit old indica DLS. Ive driven my couson’s indica v2 hell lot. Even took it to 130+ kmph on palm beach road, navi mumbai. The thing it lags is the pick up feel....power sez it all. I really had to work hard to get it going wit ac on. Pick up u feel like ur accelerating 800 on its 4th gear from standstill position. Its really bad. Just managable wit ac off but still not even close to maruti 800 (which I owe now). So wen my dad said indica is suiting his budget I was a little upset. Then I heard this turbo version. Got curious to check it out but my dad was against test riding a car which he is not sure 2 buy. I had to use some phylosophy’s and warnings abt indica’s pick up to make him let me test ride atleast turbo which he’s thinking. So I did that n finally settled wit it.                     Now to d point. My experience! Showroom ppl got the car to my place for test riding just 1 hr b4 I had 2 catch my train as my vacations were over. I backed d car shifted to 1st gear n launched the throttle. At 1st second twas almost like previous indica v2 but at d 2nd second a sudden jerk of power rushed into the machine n I felt like some horse kicked my car from back. Literally I felt like an external power rushing in. It was after that it left to non turbo versions far behind. No stopping from here on. I never realised I reached 70kmph in 3rd gear without noticing in normal traffic road. Engine sounds smooth. Dashboard features r rich with digital display n tachometer. Add power steering n power front window to that (for DLG n DLX only). Seats n riding position are quite comfortable. Ya its not as silent as 800 or alto etc. but sounds smooth. Its soothing to human ears. N wit light music or ac on u wont feel d sound. Now I turned on d AC at standstill. Now shifted 2 1st gear n rolled on. Surprisingly theres no such practical difference. Its running simply the same as witout ac. This is where I got impressed. Its performing better than 800, alto, zen, santro etc now.                    So now I can say tata’s hv done a good job wit this one. Due to lack of time wat I cudnt figure out is wats the max speed it can go. And wats d difference between dlg and dlx. we going for dlg. dlx is not suiting our budget. is it worth a decision or we have to stretch our budget. Wudnt like 2 although.                           My advice: all indica haters like me its time to change ur mind. theres a new performer from indica in town.                        Thank You, ArYaN
