I owns’ Indica Xeta GLG, to be frank it was my ambition to drive and own an Indian manufactured car, initially I was trying for Wagon R, which I felt it’s too small for a family. I’m an NRI from Dubai, here I have drove Swift, and it’s very good on Dubai roads, [let me tell you all, Infrastructure of Dubai roads are very very advanced and smooth compared to our roads] but when I test drove Swift in India [Kerala], I didnt find that comfort, even I tried Fiet Palio, which same TATA Motors are the dealers but I didnt feel comfortable, even the dealers was insisting me to go for it, as it was an Italian version, initially I was not interested to by an Indica, as it’s normally called here as taxi car, but once I took a test drive, I was really impressed with its safety and comfort, I was surprised about it’s price, none of the other companies, like Suzuki, or Fiet offer such a good price where TATA have really challenged them.
MY ONLY SUGGESTION TOWARDS TATA IS THEY HAVE TO STRICTLY TRAIN THEIR DEALERS AND REPRESENTATIVES, I REALLY HAVE GONE MAD ABOUT THEIR IRRESPONSABLE NATURE TOWARDS THE CUSTOMERS, AS ONE OF THE MEMBERS DESCRIBED HERE - THEY CONSIDER US LIKE TAXI DRIVERS, TRUST ME I TOO EXPERIENCED THE SAME, IT WAS MY AMBITION TO DRIVE AN INDIAN MADE CAR AND SURPRISINGLY INCICA XETA WAS THE GOOD ONE FOR MY CHOICE, BUT THE REPRESENTATIVES HAVE TO BE WELL TRAINED, EVEN THE SERVICE EMPOYEES, THEY ARE NOT AT ALL SKILLED I BELIVE. [I FEEL THERE IS NO STERN OFFICERS TO SUPERVISE THEM] I HAD BITTER EXP. WITH THEM THAT I DONT WANT TO SHARE RIGHT NOW. AS I REALLY ADMIRE TATA MOTORS FOR THEIR CAPABILITY TO LAUCH SUCH A WONDERFUL EDITION OF INDICA XETA.
I’M DRIVING CARS FOR THE PAST 15 YEARS IN DUBAI, LIKE CAMRY, NISSAN, HONDA CIVIC, AND EVEN SWIFT. I FELT THE SAME COMFORT WHEN I DROVE XETA, THAT TOOO ON THE ROUGH [HUMTY DUMTY] ROADS IN KERALA.
REQUEST TOWARDS TATA MOTORS: **KINDLY MAKE SURE THAT TATA DEALERS ARE NOT ROUGH TOWARDS PRIVATE CAR OWNERS, IT’S NOT THAT WE DONT HAVE FINANCIAL BACKGROUND TO BUY ANOTHER BRAND CARS, BUT WE LOVE TO DRIVE INDIAN CARS’, AND ARE PROUD TO DO SO.

INSIDE: SPACIOUS, CAN ACCOMODATE **5 PEOPLE, STILL IT’S a "POWER HORSE"
MAILAGE: NOT BAD [12-14] DEPEND OF CITY/ LONG DRIVES
A/C : REALLY GOOD [NEVER GO SLOW ONCE AC IS ON] AND SUPERB COOLING
INTERIOR: FIBERS ARE NOT THAT GOOD, BUT THE PRICE THEY OFFER I FEEL IT’S OK
DRIVES : WONDERFUL, THE BUCKET SEATS ARE QUITE COMFORTABLE
EVEN LONG DRIVES AND HIGHRANGE DRIVES CAR GOES REALLY CONTROLLED
I have noticed some sarcastic comments from other members about this car and I strongly protest about their comments. I feel some people really want to put down TATA motors, Ofcouse i’m there if you say something about the dealers but about the car MAN it’s worty to have one esp on Indian roads.
