This is my first review on MS. I own a red xeta gls 1.2 bought in march 09. I have done 6700kms till date and I faced the problems with xeta are many - Should I call it problems?? let’sC.
First thing u notice is it’s an italian design so its not to get girls like the one - swift. then u will find gaps between door panels and body huge. so this makes high speed winds cut through and make audible noise.
tires make a lot of noise on most of the roads. I felt front tyres loosing traction/skidding many times when I brake hard. (can prove fatal at times)(no other car I drove has this issue) body parts are loose and a little rattling comes from somewhere all the time. AC sounds scary at 3/4 speeds
Pickup reduced by 5bhp than 1.4version(very noticable with AC on only in city) but no increase in mileage(unless u follow the sticker instruction over the glass top). Boot space is not enough for such BIG car. Now let me tell u the great things about this car. Firstly, it literally sprints (mind you with AC off) like a mad dog doesnt care about the people n luggage in the car.
Next, AC does takes time (only when the car is kept under sun) to cool that big cabin BUT may cools u enuf to say "reduce the blower speed". I went for a very long drive on NH7 at a speeds of 145kmph (cudnt go faster becos of oncoming village) it can touch speeds of 120 with ease from there it takes another 15-20 seconds to reach the top speed. AT 145KMPH ONLY AIR NOISE(sad) AND NOTHING ELSE, it seems u r on a runway ready to take-off. GREAT STABILITY
Mileage AC ON all times (highway -14 at 145kmph, 17 at 70 kmph, city- 10-12kmph). Lighting is above avg enuf for speeds of no more than 80kmph. service at TATA DEALER (OH NOOOO!!!)???? THE BIGGEST ENEMY OF MR.TATA. Few more thing to add, I feel the pedal controls are bit high which made my right knee pain for 2days for pressing the ACC pedal for long durations.
Throttle response not instant everytime, it responds slow 1ce or twice. Hope my review about the 3.2 lac car helps some1 buying/skipping this car. Any comments are welcomed
