I have been using this car since last seven years now, although driven it only for 43000 km till date, mostly in the city of Mumbai.I am quite satisfied with the car.Only problem I had till now was of steering needed to be repaired and there was water seeping in from somewhere which mechanic nor tata service center could figure out. Both of that cost me about 9000 rupees. But thats all what I have spent in last seven years of usage.
I am confident this car will last me for another seven years, it will do all my day to day work of a workhorse.I have owned Suzuki cars prior to this and ford ikon. Both of them have given me zillions of problems after five years of usage, not to mention many other problems I had under warranty too.
If you compare the car with Hyundai I 10 or I 20, Maruti Suzuki swift or alto or for that matter any other brand., this car is great value for money, better legroom, better mileage, better technology for the price we pay.
Car at 3.24 lacs base model on road I am sure I can use it for at least ten years, it costs me about 32 thousand rupees per year. Isnt that a steal.I have got CNG fitted which is costing me 1.5 rupees per km on highways and about 2.3 rupees per km in city. I never had any accident till date but I am quite sure this car would be more safer than flyweight Hyundai and Suzuki cars. Its a rugged car heavier and more stable.
Now the only reason what I can see why people dont want to buy their own product with everything going for it is that they suffer from inferiority complex.
I am sure the same applies to many other product category too, Godrej, Videocon, Voltas all are good products but somehow Indians have fixation for foreign things, buying Indian products reminds them of their own deficiencies in life, dont they realize that if their own product does well they do well too in future.
Dont listen to all idiots who keep complaining and write bad reviews, the same set of people you will find in many stores quite happy to see negatives in all products. Most importantly never listen to sales staff of showrooms, understand specs yourself from the net and be your own judge.
Let the fools buy PHOREIGN, I am quite happy with what I have bought, all my next cars are going to be either mahindra or tata.
