I literally regret for having bought this car. It’s a faulty product from Tata, and I lost my peace of mind with this car. I have faced a number of problems in the last 9 months including some very major problems, and I spent almost 25-30 days in the garage apart from the scheduled services. There is absolutely no driving pleasure with this car, and the ride is very jerky too.
I will try to summarise the problems I faced:
1) I got my entire break unit replaced as the vaccum booster stopped fuctioning after some time and driving this car became very dangerous. There was a shhhh. sound coming from the break unit, and the breaks were not functioning at all. Finally I got it replaced in warranty.
2) The steering wheel vibrates a lot and it pulles to both left and right side. After you take a sharp turn, the steering wheel does not come to normal position, and it continues to pull either to left or right, depending on which way you turned. It’s is very hard too. They replaced the entire steering box but this problem never got fixed, and it’s still existing.
3) I had to replace the drive shaft of both left and right sides after experiencing dak.dak. sound when turning the car
4) There have been a number of sounds from the backside, and it still continues to happen even after repeated fixes
5) When you accellerate to higher RPMS(above 2000), the gear knob, steering, pedals and the entire dash vibrates heavily. I think the vibrations in Indica V2 was even tolerable than this. This problem is still existing.
6) The fuel efficiency is pathetic compared to other diesel cars in this segment. I am getting as low as 12 kmpl with AC in the city.
I spent almost 5.4 lakh for this car, and I deeply regret for having gone for this product. I could have gone for Swift Diesel, Palio Multijet or may be Getz CRDi with little more money. I would have had at least peace of mind.
GUYS, PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS CAR - YOU WILL REGRET FOR SURE.
