Tata Indicom broadband adsl is a strict no no.
I took this connection because tata indicom were the only isp giving connection in my area(in bangalore). The tata indicom executive turned up at my home promptly collected the cheque(why do isps collect cheque before providing service?)
The connection worked brilliantly for one whole month. the download speeds were excellent. Then troubles started. In the beginning it was horribly low speed. Then connection was gone. Called up their customer support. After 11 minutes waiting I finally got to speak to a human operator. The guy worked me through the usual stuff of diagnosis with blinking and non-blinking lights. He promised me that the technical issue would be solved in 12 hours time.
12 hours became 12 days and no resolution. After interacting so much with customer service of tata indicom I wonder why the tatas pay these people at all? They might as well buy one IVR system and leave a recorded message. "Ok we got your complaint. Your problem will be resoved in 12 hours". Any Tata guys reading this?
Finally I had enough of not having a connection and asked them to refund my money. Pat came the reply " sorry sir we cant do that we will give you credit for downtime" lol lol.
Friends, do yourself a favour, dont ever go for tata indicom adsl broadband.
