I just want to know how useful 512 kbps for medium to low end users?
Presently I am using Primus Commu. cable net with reasonably good speed in off hours, i.e. around 120 kbps. For download its around 80 kbps.
Now how wise it is to shift to VSNL from existing one?
I am using this from 2000. and its small city game as they can give me speed whenever they want unlike in big corporate houses its limited.
So far in off hours I was getting 280 - 320 kbps for even continuous downloads in kazza etc. it ws the best thing of my connection, but may be due to now more customer base it has been reduced to 96 - 120 kbps. They assure for min. 8 kbps but after capping many times I seen it around 32 - 40 kbps. Its upto them how much speed is to be given.
Its costing me around 4000 Rs. for 3000 hrs. + taxes. Comes nearly 16 Rs. Per hour.
while for 35 - 40 kbps BSNL dialup in night slot cost you around 8 Rs. per hour Now there came option from VSNL broadband
