Very Bad Customer Service

I have been a Tata Indicom/ VSNL broadband customer since 2004.


I have a monthly Rs. 825/- plan with them. Since September 2006 they have been sending me wrong bills - charging me Rs 2000/- as static IP charges - though I had not asked for any static ip connection.


When I did not make the complete payment (I paid the bill excluding the wrong charge of Rs.2000/-) they suspended my account.


Everytime they charge me Rs 100/- ’reactivation’ charges only to suspend the account again. .. . Looks like they are out to cheat hapless consumers.


This has been going on since September 2006.


I finally sent them a termination notice on 4th december 2006 and received a mail on 5th december mentioning that they would take the necessary action ’as soon as possible’. It is now 22nd december and so far nothing has happened.


I have been calling them every two days to find out the progress.


Everytime I call they tell me that they have escalated the issue and some one would call me ... ’ASAP’.


I’m now planning to complain about them to consumer redressal court.


Moral of the story - TATA INDICOM customer service / billing sucks.


STAY AWAY.
