I have had this Tata Broadband connection since the beginning of time since there are no other service providers in this area. I pay 900 Rs for a 256-512 kbps connection. I think that is the most expensive connection anywhere in the World. They have faster speeds for cheaper in both Somalia & Afghanistan.
Recently I was informed that Tata has decided to shut shop and that Docomo will be taking over. Later I learnt that Docomo has decided to quit India altogether.
Now their call-centers have stopped working altogether at night and during the day-time it is perpetually engaged. The servers are always down in the unlikely event of floods the underwater cables not being cut.
Avoid them like the Plague.
