Deceitful service

I had taken a 256kbps wired broadband service from tata indicom last may, seeing all feasibility&price issues.they promised a wireless router with a 1yr prepaid subscription&a reasonable price.the other option were sify, which was costly&MTNL , which had a government tag to it.and the tata name gave me a sense of security.


BUT they started showing their callousness from the 1st week itself. The connection turned down time and again.the engineer told us that it was due to the wireless router(which is amazingly now working fine without any repair) which the company had shelled out due to this fault!I


FELT CHEATED but then he connected a wired router and the connection worked fine but just a few days.When this engineer was leaving the job he personaly came and taught us to change our password on the tata indicom web site!!WHAT MADE HIM DO THAT!?WHAT FISHY THINGS WERE GOING ON THAT I NEEDED TO CHANGE MY PASSWORD!?


some times THE SERVER IS DOWN FOR A WHOLE DAY!y.sometimes the wires are loose...ITS BEEN ALMOST A YEAR AND I VE NEVER RECEIVED EVEN A MONTH OF UNINTERRUPTED SERVICE!having a unlimited 256kbps connection at home. I’ ve had to many a times visit cyber cafes to get my important work done.added to that if you call their customer service they promise to solve the issue in 3working days max.but believe you me IT HAS NEVER BEEN DONE IN LESS THAN 6DAYS!!it has once even taken HALF A MONTH!


in these six days they keep calling you from Bangalore/south india, to ask u if it has been rectified but god knows what they do or probably they just do it to pacify the customer.during these calls if u try to tell them that their service is worst or u are fed up, you will just hear a very monotonous ’ok sir...yes sir’ showing their disinterest!


If u ask what they are doing, they will say that the request is being forwarded to the concerned department.god knows which department they have!! If u ask for a higher officer’s contact to complain to they deny the very existence of such officers!!


As if they owned the company! The only way you could get ur connection running is to keep their local engineers happy.only god can save your connection if they are on leave or they are not in a mood to pick up your call. Since I ve paid the whole money I cant even throw them out. Though I ve many times thought of going to the customer forum , being a doctor I don ve enough time[also lack knowledge].THEY HAVE MADE ME FEEL HELPLESS.
