Tata Indicom ADSL Broadband

Pay 2500rs in advance and get 4 months torture

Inspite of having such bad reviews on this site, I had no other option


but to go through Tata-Indicom as there was no other broadband


connection available in my area. And the salesman as usual convinced me


that earlier we were having problem with service and maintenance and


now we do not have.


So took 6 months prepaid pack and went on for surfing with


tata-indicom. And I took the mobile number of field-engineer, TOM


(territory operation manager) as a caution so that in case my


connection goes off, I can talk to these guys directly instead of


calling to customer care (which I knew already that will not be able to


do anything)


For 1 week, it was smooth.


On sat it was off. I directly called field engineer and reply was really hilarious. Here is reply


Sir, actully our server room has some generator and once power shuts


down, somebody has to actually be there and restart system either with


generator or even after power comes somebody has to do something at


server to get it working.


Now the man who was on server had gone to his village as sat and sun


being holiday and will be back on monday and he is the only one who has


keys.


I had to believe this crap as Monday morning my connection started working.


For 2 months, it was going smooth (except for 2-3 times blackout on


weekends and I think for the same reason as I did not want to listen


this reply again).


After that for 2 months I did not use as I was out.


And after that when I started using, it worked for 2-3 days and then suddenly went off.


This time I again tried calling at all contact numbers I had (few who


picked up told me that they have left tata-indicom and remaining were


not picking up the phone)


So I tried my luck at customer care.


From here the story of my frustration starts:


It was 30th June my connection went off, I though power should have


gone and will be back in some time. But to no avail and I had to make a


call to customer care.


They told me that within 6 hours my problem will be resolved ( I was very happy to listen to this).


That day was Saturday and nothing happened till Monday morning


My complain number was 2837092


Here is their record:

and the list goes on.....


They are very good at frustrating you .


They will happily give you false assurances and commitments.


Each


time you call then, you will listen same automatic response by a human


being ( do nto know hwy tata indicom is spending such a huge money on


call center, when they can have automated responses as well )


Sir give me sometime, time till tomorrow, my technical team has given me assurance that it will be definitely done.


This guy helped me in giving deatils of my long list of complains:

Surprisingly still you can talk to him anytime regarding reliability of


broadband connection as well as assurance of their field engineer team.


I even got the number of their customer care center head in Hyderabad and even after he gave immediate calls to field engineer teams, they could not come  and fix the problem.


They had taken approximately 2500 rs from me in advance and given 4 months of torture in return.


Have you heard of any deal like this ? (welcome to world of tata broadband)


Finally I had to surrender it and opt for reliance wi-max (it luckily was available in that time)..but I had bad experience with reliance as well.


No good internet connection in IT city (Bangalore)..irony of living in this country.
