This review is not perticular about TATA indicom. but in general all ISPs I have seen or experienced.
Over the time, I have been experimenting with different broaband service providers.
But, I must tell from my personal experience that there is nothing called BROADBANd in india yet.
I would be happy if they name it NARROWBAND. say. TATA INDICOM NARROWBAND .
Because, speed s less . but the price you have is sky high.
I literally struggled during installation of tata indicom because I had to call the installation guy around 100 times during 2 days!
Speed though is 256kbps. in actaully u get less than 200. n remember kbps is kilo bits per second! not kilo bytes per second :-)
now, that`s it about tata indicom.
ealier I had ZEENEXT connection. oh god. I think this is worst ISP on the earth. how the company works is they provide services to remotest of places where there is no other service. so poor guys go for it . n burn their hands.
You can check the tariffs of zeenext and don`t think site is not updated one! Its true.
128kbps unlimited - > 1200+ . he he.

Summary:
I must tell there no ISP or broaband provider who can assure you a good broadband service in INDIA.(remember BSNL you have to wait months before you can get a connectoin!)
Also, unlink mobile space, there is competitiveness in priciing of packages.
(in US, you get 10-20mbps at$20-30!)
In India, we still living with kbps. many ISPs still have option for 64kbps plans in thier tarrif card!
So, go for any broadband than can provide service in your area . its the same:-)
