I have been a user of VSNL services for the past several years. However since the time it has been taken over by Tataindicom, its attitude towards customers is totally apathetic.
Recently, without warning the service was blocked. I realised it only after I had made several usuccessful attempts over 2-3 days to connect. in the process I must have wasted atleast a 100 calls. Thereafter When I contacted their customer service I was told that the usage had exceeded 80% of the period. Mind you, there was still 20% left and any other company would have sent a reminder to renew the account. the validity of the account was till Jan 2006 and with the free surfing hours on sundays and bet 11 pm to 7am the account was perfectly usable.
No amount of reasoning with the customer care had any affect since they were only the call centre. Emails to VSNL never evoked any response.
My advice to everyone would be to keep away from this company.
