Keep away from Tata Indicom broadband

We applied for Tata indicom broadband connection about 2 and 1/2 months back. Since then it’s been a time of frustration, broken promises and outright lies.


We are yet to get the connection and by now have called the call center about 30 times at least. Here is the typical answer, ’’the concerned department will call you back in 24 hours’’. Of course the call never came. The funniest part is that every time you call, they give the same answer. A call center operator is the sole connection that the consume have with Tata. Amazing, how Tata indicom is surviving. About a month back, we fought and got to speak to the team leader. We told him that we don’t want the connection and asked for refund of our money. He very sincerely mentioned that someone from the ’’concerned’’ department will call us back in 24 hours and you would have guessed no one called back.


Today, we called again and asked for a refund. Here is the answer.’’ We’ll forward your request to the concerned department and your money would be returned in some time.’’ I persisted and tried to get some idea about this ’’some time.’’ No luck. The lady on the phone couldn’t tell how much time.


Something even more weird happened two weeks back. Someone called me on my mobile claiming to be from Tata indicom. He said that the cable is almost near our office and he would be visiting the office in next half an hour. I would get excited and rush back to office. And this person doesn’t turn up, nor pick up his mobile.


So altogether an extremely bad experience. I’m shocked at the way a Tata enterprise is run. I even recommended the call centers to rethink about staying with a company who can be so callous.
