I took a Tata Indicom connection simply based on the good name of Tata brand. But the service that they have given to me till now has been shocking.
I had booked a FWT(Fixed Wireless Telephone) from Tata Indicom towards end of March in Delhi, which I got soon after. The phone itself is quite good - so far so good.
But the good part ends now. Though we had opted for a plan 250, we got charged for plan 1500. We had to fax them the original form 3 times, and send innumerable emails before they agreed that they had made a mistake and said that it would be corrected in a subsequent bill. This happened in June.
As Tata Indicom didnt have net facility, we decided to surrender the phone in July start. There was another shock waiting for us now. We have talked to Tata Indicom innumerable times and had to fax them many times before they finally acknowledged that they had got a request for cancellation.
However till now, the phone has not been disconnected even after 2 months and we are still getting the plan 1500 bills.
Sometimes I wonder if some of the big companies will ever wake up. If this is the service I get from Indian companies, I wouldnt mind that they shut down.
