One of the worst service providers

I just happened to purchase a TATA Indicom Walky. I was boasted of its anywhere usability of the phone, compact size and the best was full service by the operator 24 hrs a day and full network coverage.The salesperson took myidentityproof which had my residence address. I fail to understand when my phone has been bought at my office address how come it was delivered to my residence address.It was delivered installed at my residence address. It didnt matter to me as I was given theassurancethat the phone is usable anywhere in mumbai. I gladly bought the phone to my office. From the first to till today as I am writing this feedback, I have not been able to use the phone properly.


After giving complaint and follow up from my end and no calls from the so called brand name TATA Indicom I was given an excuse that since my installation address in my residence and not my shop so we cant take the complaint.But aftercontinuousmail and talks these guys are telling me that where I am using the phone comes under some in-building network problem. I fail to understand that my shop being in one of the most busiest street in mumbai catches full network of Vodafone, Reliance, Airtel etc. and as no towers catching the TATA indicom network, Its really amazing. For reference and for proof I am attaching my mail that I had sent to the nodal officer of mumbai and at the last his reply to me.


Also they are not willing to give me refund as the installation address is different then the usage address, though I have requested them to change the installation address, they tell me we only go by the first installation address only.

Dear Sir/Madam,


I would like to bring to your notice that I have been facing this problem


from the day one I have bought your TATA Indicom walky. *My Tata Indicom


Walky Number is 65115525. The *Model number is C246669DD cordless. My


customer application number being *S. No. MHMUM - 10 03102716 dated 21st May


2010*. I had made the payment through *cheque No. 658930 *Dated *21st May


2010.* The below are the problem I am facing


1) It was installed at my residence address though the phone was sold at my


shop.


2) I have almost no network coverage at my shop even if I m standing at the


shop door which is facing the road. I have no blockage of walls or even


glass doors at my shop entrance.* I literally have to stand on the road or


the footpath to give and receive calls if I can receive any.


3) I tried calling up the person who had sold me the phone he too turned up


after 5-6 calls and giving me suggestions to call up customer care. *Sales


person name Mr. Pawan, Contact number: 9028622419


4) After *trying really hard and standing like a fool outside my own shop on


the road to give a call to customer care.* It still used to get diconnected


in the between the IVR options. Atlast I was able to reach the customer care


operators and there I was being told that complaint can be taken only at the


place of Installation and no other places. I told them the salesman who sold


me the phone had told me I can use the phone anywhere I want in mumbai.


Still she refused to take my complaint. Later I told her please change my


Installation address to my shop address and take the complaint. After a lot


of explaining and talking to her immediate seniors I think she was ready to


note down the complaint*. And than my network was gone, the call got lost.


I request you to either refund my money or sort this matter out. Its no use


keeping a phone that I cannot use. Please do take your phone back and give


me a refund cheque if the matter is not resolved soon.


I have enough work at my shop other than just calling up your customer care


department to find the call getting lost. I have got better service


providers who take the trouble of following up with me when I am not


satisfied with the service or network
