About 2-yrs back I bought tata indicom motorola mobile from a local shop. the price was rs 600 with everything and some talk time, afterwards, I had a lot of difficulty finding currency, even today very few retailers carry currency (talk time) cards.
The coverage and quality of the network is not great but also even in town the connection is not good. although this is so in the town, I found that in other areas like andhra where hutch doesn’t work , tata indcom is able to connect with low quality.
