I am very sorry to say that I have lost the trust I had in Tatas because of my experience with Tata Indicom. I had a Tata Indicom post-paid Kolkata number and since I was shifting to Delhi, I had my number disconnected on June 22, 2008, via a call to customer care. I was assured by the customer care person that my number has been disconnected and my deposit of Rs 500 will be sent within 45 days at my residence.
But even after 4 months I still find that my number is in service and have even received bills for the last three months for a number which has not been in use at all. Inspite of my numerous calls to the customer care department I have found no respite till date.
I am contemplating taking a legal action against the company and sending this letter to the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India.
