We all know that Tata Indicom a telephony service provider provides CDMA telephony services in Maharashtra and in other parts of country. They have many products for the customers.
This letter is to all the Tata Indicom customers who have suffered from bad quality of product and worst quality of service the company has offered. Customers have put in money for installation charges and initial security deposit in a hope to get a better product and responsive service which they never got. Don?t forget it is not only the money which we deposit, it is the time we put in to get a connection and also the time we put in to make complaints repeatedly. And few of the customers have to rush to Tata Indicom office to sort out the problems. So we can think of what we pay as a customer to the company.
Every customer has there own problems with Tata Indicom. Most of them are about bad quality of product i.e. speech quality of phone, and services related issues like billing, and no response for their complaints. So it is not really necessary to say about my case. Still I write my story here to put me among the customers who have suffered and got frustrated after taking Tata Indicom product.
I applied for Tata Indicom Smart Wireless phone for a twin objective of telephone and internet. In 10 days time the phone was delivered at neighbor premises. I thought, it will help me to talk to my friends and family after I come home. Although the quality of speech was bad, you can still talk making assumption what the person at the other end saying. I put a complaint, nothing happen.
Next time I called, the customer service representative asked me to note down one more complaint number. So this happened 2-3 times. I got frustrated and thought it is of no use to write complaint number. Then worst happens, the speech quality go so bad, that I have to talk so loudly to make my voice heard on other side. This was something I can not do. The situation was so bad, that I was not able to complain about it. Because the customer service executive at the other side was not able to hear me. Then I called from my office to put a complaint. They did some thing but the problem was never solved. Till now I have lost all my hopes with the phone.
Now the next phase of problems starts. I applied for Internet kit. I was told I?ll be receiving it in a week?s time. A week passed nothing happens. I called the call center and was assured I?ll next in 3-5 days. Nothing happens. Next Saturdays I called again and I was told that internet kit was out of stock. By this time I lost all my hopes. On one Saturday, when I was at home, got a call if I have a received the data kit. I said no keeping all my patience and cool temperament intact. Next Saturday when I was at home I again got a call if I have received the data kit.
By this time I have told Indicom service executive that I?ll not continue with your product and I want all my deposit back. This is a well justified request as they are not able to provide the very basic service. Nothing happens on my pay back request. I called them again on payment pay back request. I was told to come and discuss at there office in Shivaji Nagar. On one Saturday I visited their office and talked about my point. After a brief chat it was agreed that Tata Indicom will call me to know if they will pay my money back and take the phone. Nothing happens this time also. I called them again a week later saying that I haven?t received the response from them.
The customer service representative asked me to give them a chance to rectify the problem. I thought it over and decided I should not give them an other chance. As a simple person I can not put time in making complaints. I don?t want to loose my temperament and be outrageous with the poor Tata Indicom employees at call center and others who deal with the customers.
So.. This is the current status of my problem. I have spent money, time and so much of patience. I want the company should pay for it. As a ground rule, Company should learn that poor quality of service should result in loss of revenue and monetory compensation. I?m not against Tata, Reliance or any other muti national company. If the company make fool of the consumer, they should be penalized heavily.
So friends.. I?m fighting for my cause. It is not about the money, it is about the consumer awareness. I want you all to give me your support. I have taken it up in consumer court. To fight it better I have created a forum on internet
