I have two Tata Indicom CDMA Mobile (WLL) numbers. One with me in Bangalore and one with my parents in Delhi.
I am sure similar problems are faced by most TATA Indicom subscribers.
- I did not receive my bill for august till last week though I had been calling Indicom helpdesk at Bangalore more than one month. I have made, not less than 20
calls till now to the helpdesk! Even the managers phones keep ringing and no one picks them up!
- My parents have a Tata Indicom CDMA mobile in Delhi. In order to get the STD facility activated, a friend had to travel to Indicom office in Delhi for one hour to pay the Rs 1000/- deposit as the indicom dealer had misled my parents into thinking that STD was automatically activated. Unfortunately, the cashier was not there and
nobody else was there to receive the money! Thus he decided to leave the money there with one of indicom employees in good faith and asked him to get the needful done. However, instead of STD getting activated, all the outgoing calls
from my parents number got barred. this was corrected after a lot of trauma and my calling up Indicom helpdesk at Bangalore who extremely reluctantly agreed to pass on this information to Indicom-Delhi.
- The helpdesk in Delhi is even more inefficient than Bangalore. They are not ashamed to put the customers on hold for even more than one hour!
What a pity in this age of telecom-battles.
