I bought a Tata Indicom connection 2 days before. The set was Indicom Ace and I applied for the Non-Stop Mobiling scheme.
It’s obvious that it’s a part of tata indicom promotion to let the users talk more with 100% talktimes and (in this scheme) free incoming calls for 2 yrs without any recharge commitment. However, they hide some of the truth during the sale.
For example, in my set (indicom acer) I cannot download ringtones, moreover the earpiece quality is not good. There are no ’profiles’ like nokia sets and nor there are UTK services (sports, astrology, etc etc). I just selected the ringtones (UTK services) for the first time and they deducted 2 rupees for it and when the reply came they gave a list of ringtones with written at the bottom (only for nokia users). I was very upset. They didn’t even tell me that UTK services isn’t available.
Moreover, it was mentioned in the scheme that the set Nokia 2112 was available. And when I enquired, they said that its not there. They added that the scheme was available only till October. But later on I learned that there was no deadline. I was very angry.
And, there’s no network when its raining. Otherwise its okay.
Tata Indicom must be more specific during sales........
But the 0123 plan and the Non-Stop mobiling plan is very alluring indeed.
