Hi friends,
I got my Tata Indicom phone, 4 months ago, under the "Jugalbandi" Plan. This Plan means getting two Incidom Phones, One landline and The other a Mobile, with free outgoing and incoming from and to both Phones for 2 Years , and, is no longer available. Although at first I was quite weary of this indicom thing as I have been a Hutch Mumbai User for almost 4 years. I switched out of Hutch and opted for indicom as 1) I had to Shift from Mumbai to Nashik. 2) It is a TATA product and has the best Plans available amongst Service providers in my City. But....But the goodies just did not end there.... !
Before Leaving On my Trip to Delhi last fortnight, I called up the customer service to check if INDICOM offers Roaming Services or Not. --To my Surprise, National Roaming was not only Pre activated on my Cell, it was Free too, unlike most of the other Service Providers who keep Charging a Monthly Rental for the Same. Next, the Customer Service Representative offered me a Plan wherein All Incoming calls would be Free while I would be Roaming provided I buy a Roaming Pack of Rs.149/= Which, I readily Did as my Trip was for around 12 Days.
The Next question that crossed my mind was the availability of the Network. Here Again TATA INDICOM surprised me. We were three colleagues on our trip, One had an AIRTEL and the Other had Reliance. Believe me friends, Indicom was the network that was Reachable at most of the Places, and almost all through our trip. This was a Train Journey and I would specially mention Places where there was no Airtel/Reliance Network e.g. Burhanpur - Khandwa(M.P.)- DABRA (M.P.) and at many other places that the Train went through. The voice clarity too was excellent.
Overall, I was and still am Surprised; Surprised to a limit where the adjective "Shocked" begins. Kudos to TATAs for such an improvement in Their Services.
P.S. Thanks for Reading, this is my First Post in Mouthshut!
