Good plans worst service

Hello Readers:


I got to see in the newspaper, an advt. displaying a plan in which 150 would be reversed every month on the total calls made and further enquiring I came to know that on taking an add on paid feature all local calls would become 50 paise per minute to any phone. This was really exciting as on researching with all phone service providers in our city, this one looked to be the cheapest, though Idea has come out with similar plans now. I immidiately asked them to send someone get the formalities done & phone activated. Innumerous calls came to me till I had not handed over them the payment but the moment the payment was made everyone vanished. They did not send a direct officer also but a representative of a DSA whose phone number is always busy. After a few days wasting a lot of my phone calls I was compelled to place a complain in their office after which they allotted me a number but still got no respite as problems are yet not solved. Actually you can’t expect much help from their side. They are simply & totally non cooperating or one can say that the cooperation is too late. At the initiation, everyone in the customer care dept was unaware of the schemes/plans etc. The add on plan I selected was not communicated to the main dept concerned and that also I had fight it out to get that plan activated. They have several numbers and the actual concerned number you will get only after wasting numerous phone calls. They are extremely slow in cooperating with customers and may be that is the reason they are porviding lower call charges. At today’s date one cannot afford provide such bad customer service. If they cannot do something within the stipulated time, they may compensate something.


Everything got settled after a month or two and now it is not generally giving me any trouble. However, their tele-callers were often after my blood atleast from 10 days before the bill due date. They don’t keep a track that when a person has been paying bills deligently without any delays etc then why will he cheat this time. They don’t even have records that whether the current bill has been paid also or not. Putting written complains and requesting them several times to put me on ’do not call’ list also did not help much and after paying my bills they disturb me.


Worst thing of TATA Indicom is their cheapest handset as well as their connnectivity. A slightest move of your hand and the call gets cut. Your battery will die out as soon as you go out range as it tries goes on searching for signals. Moreover, the battery does not last a year and thats the reason they have very carefully put the warranty of six months for the battery.



Actually be very careful in selecting a plan and I think rather than asking for a home service, it is best to go directly to their main office and request for number after confirming very strictly the exact requirement as in today’s date everyone seem to tell something and is later on found to be something else.


Therefore be very alert when buying post paid mobile phones, later you may be shocked. I received the handset days after I was alloted with the number and was then, also charged for the days I did not receive the set. SO what’s again, complain over complain and one week after, my bill was adjusted. See how effective their service is.


If the billing cycle is say from 7th of every month to 6th of next month, their online bill will also get reflected after 4-5 days from the bill start date. Whereas in this advance age, it should get generated immidiately on the date which is after the last day of the billing cycle. Many people


think that some cheating adjustment must be running in between this period.


After getting transferred abroad, I called them as well as emailed them to deactivate my phone from the day of request. They did deactivate but their bills still were sent to me. Somehow I got that solved but I could never receive back my Rs 500 refundable security.
